Because it was a family business, Howard was able to start his construction career at Tip Top Builders Inc at just 13 years old. He got in on the ground floor and started as a laborer on home remodeling projects with his father as his boss. Over the next several years, Howard worked his way up to carpenter, then foreman, and superintendent before graduating from Northwood Institute in 1972 with a degree in Business. Howard then returned to Tip Top Builders Inc as a project manager. In 1981, Howard became President of Tip Top Builders Inc and helped us evolve into a full service general contracting company.
Like many team members at Tip Top Builders Inc, Adam started working for the company during the summer while still in high school. He went on to graduate from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Management in 2008 and also became proficient in software programs that are key to our business.
Adam gained valuable experience by working on a high-end condominium project off East Lake Shore Drive, where he learned the ropes of the construction industry. Since then, he has successfully managed numerous single-family home remodels and renovation projects in various high-rise buildings.
Adam is deeply involved in projects from start to finish, taking on responsibilities that include day-to-day management of schedules and planning, cost management, time management, contract administration, budgeting costs, securing subcontractors, project documentation, contract facilitation, and value engineering. Outside of the office, Adam enjoys spending quality time with his family, working out, playing golf, and cheering on his beloved Kentucky Wildcats.

Michael graduated from Purdue University in 2013. He started working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the same year and quickly moved up to become a logistics manager at O'Hare International Airport in 2015. Bringing his managerial experience with him, he joined Tip Top Builders Inc in 2019 and has been working alongside the project managers, assisting them with their daily tasks and scheduling the field employees and dispatch.
As the operations manager, Michael's primary role is to plan and direct the activities of our field personnel and trucking deliveries, with the goal of improving productivity and efficiency. He also plays a key role in managing our service division, which involves scheduling and coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and building owners.
In his free time, Michael enjoys watching and playing sports, working out, and spending time with friends and family. It's worth noting that Star Wars has always been his first love.
After Mike graduated from Indiana University, he started his career with Sherwin Williams. He worked in the stores and as an outside rep. Here he learned the value of relationships between supplier and applicator. Not feeling close enough to the end result and the customers, he moved to the other side of the counter and worked as an estimator for a painting company. He liked the ability to work with the customers to reach their goals and enrich their homes. Wanting to get even more involved in home construction, he joined Tip Top. Bringing his experience working with suppliers and customers, he has been a successful addition to the tip top team.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and being with friends.
